Riders planning to attend the upcoming Providence Bridge Pedal and Stride cycling event just got lucky.

If you donate a bicycle at Providence Health & Services’ bike donation event Saturday (July 31, 9 a.m.-1 p.m), your registration fee (ranging from $10-$40) for the bridge pedal extravaganza will be waived.

Providence Health & Services is teaming up with the Washington County Bicycle Coalition (WashCo BTC) to collect used bikes and parts.

WashCoBTC helps to promote bicycle transportation, protects bicyclists’ rights and seeks to improve bicycling conditions throughout Washington County.

The two locations to donate bikes and parts are:

Providence Bridgeport Health Center
18040 SW Lower Boones Ferry Road, Tigard

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center
East Pavilion entrance
9205 SW Barnes Road, Portland

Providence is offering one free Bridge Pedal registration for every bicycle donated. The Bridge Pedal and Stride takes place Sunday, August 8th. For more information visit: www.providencebridgepedal.org or www.washcobtc.org.
